Three-day training seminar on the benefits of using international standards in food safety management
Within the framework of the international technical aid project "Support and training for food processing enterprises in the Grodno Oblast - Establishment of Grodno agro-industrial park (GAIP) in Belarus", implemented by UNIDO with the financial support of the Russian Federation, in order to raise awareness of food industry enterprises about the benefits of using international standards in the field food safety management (HACCP, ISO 22000, GLOBALG.A.P. FSSC 22000 (версия 4.1) ISO/DIS 22000:2017, etc.) the seminars on
"Food safety: the current situation and current problems" were held on 21-23 February 2018 with the participation of the expert-auditor in the given area as well as the experts of the Grodno CSMS.
February 21 - "Food safety: the current situation and current problems, incl. General provisions and criteria for compliance of control points GLOBALG.A.P. - Fruits and vegetables";
February 22-23 - "Rewiew of food safety in practice, incl. Implementation of HACCP principles. General provisions and criteria for the compliance of control points. Verification of the food safety management system. Preliminary programs in accordance with ISO / TS 22002. Analysis of new requirements of FSSC 22000 (version 4.1) and new requirements of ISO / DIS 22000: 2017 ".
Seminars were held at the Grodno Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (CSMS) with the participation of the national expert in the field of food safety standards - Alla Maskevich and the speaker of the seminar - expert in the field of GLOBALG.A.P., FSSC 22000 - Elena Bulavina.
Issues within the framework of the seminars :
- General provisions and criteria for compliance of control points GLOBALG.A.P. (fruits and vegetables), requirements for crop production, agricultural crops, farming;
- issues of establishment a food safety management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 22000;
- HACCP principles;
- traceability in the production and sale of food products;
- recommendations for the development of programs of preconditions;
- prerequisites for the development and certification of food safety management systems.
Upon completion of the course, the trainees were given a handout and issued certificates.
During the three days 101 participants attended seminars (21.02.2018 - 28 people, 22.02.2018 - 34 people, 23.02.2018 - 39 people).
These are representatives of small and medium-size businesses, farmers and farmers' production cooperatives (KFK "Rodovoe Gnezdo", KFKH "Obukhovichi", AO “Kremko”, AO "Progress-Vertilishki", RUAP "Grodno Vegetable Factory", ODO "ABC Company"), OJSC "Rogoznitsky Starch Plant", JV "Kvinfud", OJSC "Agrokombinat" Skidelsky ", JSC" Lidahleboprodukt ", In general, all representatives are manufacturers and processors of fruits and vegetables, in addition there were representatives of Grodno Agrarian University , representatives of the sanitary institution, etc.
Participants of the seminars expressed their interest in further participation in similar events to raise awareness of the benefits of using international standards in the field of food safety management.
